What’s new in harmon.ie Classic
Version 10.6.1 HotFix (January, 2025)
This version applies to harmon.ie 365 only.
- Important bug fixes:
- #34974: Issues with Lookup values.
- #35093: Automatic email header mapping doesn’t work until Outlook is restarted.
- #35099: Can’t connect to the GCC high Tenant.
- #35161: OneDrive is not always displayed.
- #35175: Automatic email header mapping – can’t disable user prompt.
- #35180: Save message > Browse – sharepoint sites are not sorted alphabetically.
- #35209: File names containing the ‘#’ sign are not returned by search when searching in library scope.
- #35229: Exchange external items saved to Microsoft 365 with harmon.ie aren’t marked with category and icon.
- #35243: Regression from 10.6.1.0 – email with attachment is not sent when “Replace attachments with links” is not checked.
- #35260: Cannot create new list items in many lists.
Version 10.6 (October, 2024)
The harmon.ie add-in for classic Outlook is now called harmon.ie Classic. As before, harmon.ie Classic has two editions – harmon.ie 365 and harmon.ie for SharePoint.
This version applies to harmon.ie 365 only.
- Simple favorite manipulation – you can now add, remove, or edit favorite locations directly from the All Locations view.
- harmon.ie now maintains favorite folders when user moves to a new computer.
- You can remove a location from the Recent group.
- A new harmon.ie installer.
- Important bug fixes:
- #34085: Inconsistencies in harmon.ie’s ‘New’ choice menu vs. SharePoint’s.
- #34679: Failure to register site in on-boarding when user can’t access root site.
- #34842: Duplicate folder displayed when creating a new folder with harmon.ie 10.5.
- #34846: Incorrect automatic user selected for site.
- #34858: Deleting an item with harmon.ie 10.5 does not move it to SharePoint Recycle bin.
- #34954: Wrong theme set in harmon.ie.
Version 10.5 (July, 2024)
This version applies to harmon.ie 365 only.
- Enhanced Security: modern Microsoft 365 authentication and Microsoft Entra ID for heightened security.
- Long-Term Compatibility: integrate with Office 365 REST APIs, ensuring compatibility for the future.
Please note that harmon.ie 10.5 does not support registering different SharePoint Online tenants when connecting them under the same Office 365 account (user name and password).

Version 10.0.2 (March, 2024)
This version includes important fix for bug #34037: Changes in Microsoft cookie policy caused connectivity issues with harmon.ie. Symptoms of this issue may vary, from receiving prompts to reconnect upon launching harmon.ie, to seeing a server error 500 in our status bar.
To ensure uninterrupted service and a smooth experience with harmon.ie and SharePoint Online, we strongly advise upgrading to this version of harmon.ie.
Additional bug fixes:
- #31709: Hide “Open in harmon.ie” command for unsupported modern links.
- #32007: harmon.ie fails to navigate to a document set via browser url.
Version 10 (December, 2023)
This release contains minor UX changes.
- Share to Teams: Users can right click any SharePoint, Teams, or OneDrive file and share it to Teams.
In addition, when users upload an email, attachment or document to a Teams location, they are prompted to share it to Teams, eliminating the trade-off between organizing and collaborating. - Saved in Teams category for emails: When user saves an email to a Teams location, the email will be labeled with the Teams location it was saved to.
- Show files from Chats and meetings: A new category under All Locations > Teams allows viewing all files shared and received in Teams Chats and meetings.
- Shared Teams channels (
) are now supported in harmon.ie, in addition to public and private channels that were already supported. Note: You cannot navigate to shared channels from another tenant.
- Improved automatic upload of emails to SharePoint – you can now schedule the sync process of emails to the Microsoft 365 location.
- Government Cloud (GCC High) is now supported in harmon.ie. Read How to Integrate harmon.ie Classic with GCC High Environments for more information.
- Opening document links in emails now matches Microsoft 365 open settings.
- Important bug fixes:
- #32701: Server-side error when navigating inside specific document libraries.
- #32804: Icons in Branding are rendered in black.
- #33083: Internal error when saving an S-MIME encrypted email.
Version 9.5.1 (September, 2023)
This release contains minor UX changes.

- #27880: Connecting to On-Premises SharePoint sites with custom authentication fails.
- #28069: Error during resize in Right-to-Left settings.

This release does not contain UX changes.
- Automatic email header mapping and new Email view:
When emails are saved to a Teams location, harmon.ie suggests creating an Email view in that location. If accepted, email headers (subject, to, from, etc.) are saved in corresponding email columns, and an Email view is created. This feature can be expanded to SharePoint locations in the harmon.ie Options.
