Finding the right document quickly is crucial for staying productive at work. With New harmon.ie, you can search across all your Microsoft 365 locations—SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive—without leaving Outlook. Let me show you how it works.
Select an email, then open New harmon.ie from the email message ribbon. It’s recommended to pin the sidebar, so it stays visible.
When you’re not sure where a file is saved, use harmon.ie’s global search in the ‘All Locations’ view. It searches in SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive in one click.
To refine your search, use filters. You can filter the search by application—search only in SharePoint, Teams, or OneDrive. You can search for a folder or other location type, or for a specific file type.
Let’s search for a Word document. When you type a keyword, New harmon.ieinstantly shows the best results. Hover over a document to preview it.
If you didn’t find what you were looking for, click ‘Show more results’.
After finding the right file or location, harmon.ie lets you take action directly. Click the ‘More actions’ icon next to the file to open it, share with colleagues, add it to your favorites for quick access later, or navigate to its parent location to find related documents. Everything you need is just a click away.
If you know where to look—like a SharePoint document library or a Teams channel—you can search directly within that location. Navigate to the SharePoint or Teams location, double-click to drill-down to it, and type your search term. harmon.ie will display results just for that location. Filters work here too, so you can quickly pinpoint exactly what you need.
