harmon.ie brings SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive into your Outlook sidebar, so you can find and manage your Microsoft 365 files without opening a browser. Version 1.10 goes further: you can now copy, cut, and paste files between locations, preview documents before opening them, and administrators gain new controls over which SharePoint sites their users see on sign-in.
Copy, Cut, and Paste Files Across Microsoft 365
Moving files between Microsoft 365 locations in a browser means navigating each site separately, with no single view of your SharePoint libraries, Teams folders, and OneDrive together. harmon.ie gives you all your locations in one file-explorer-like sidebar: move a file from OneDrive to a SharePoint folder, reorganize a project library, or copy a document from one site to another, all without leaving Outlook.
Select any file in harmon.ie and right-click to find Copy, Cut, and Paste, or use the keyboard shortcuts you already know: Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, and Ctrl+V.
If you use the New harmon.ie desktop app, clipboard integration goes further. Paste files directly into File Explorer or into an Outlook email, or paste files from your computer into harmon.ie to upload them, making the desktop app a natural bridge between your local files and Microsoft 365.
Preview Any Document Before You Open It
Sometimes you need a quick look before committing to opening a file. The new document preview in harmon.ie 1.10 opens a full view in a separate window, so you can read, scan, or confirm it’s the right file without disrupting your Outlook workflow.
From the preview window, use the previous and next arrows to browse other files in the same folder, which is useful when you’re scanning for the right version of a document across a busy library. Quick actions including Copy link, Favorite, Download, Open in app, and Open in browser are all available directly from the preview, so you can act on what you find without returning to the file list.
Define Which SharePoint Sites Your Users See on Sign-In (Admin)
IT admins can now control the SharePoint sites that appear in harmon.ie when users first sign in. From the Admin tab in harmon.ie Settings, you define a set of provisioned sites that are pushed to every user automatically, and users cannot remove them.
Optionally, you can restrict users from adding their own sites, giving your organization a consistent starting point in harmon.ie. This is useful for organizations that want to steer users toward the right project sites or document libraries from day one, without relying on each person to configure their own setup. Configure this in the harmon.ie Admin tab.
Managing Files in Microsoft 365, From Where You Work
Every update to harmon.ie is built around the same idea: your team works in Outlook, so document management in Microsoft 365 should work there too. Version 1.10 reduces the friction of moving, previewing, and governing files, so your users spend less time navigating and more time getting things done.
